About MUSES
MUSES is a Málaga-based association that creates a sense of belonging for people living abroad. Through purposeful activities (cultural, creative and community-driven) we bring expats together to find each other, settle into local life, and become true members of the Malagueña community. Rooted in a community of women but open in spirit, MUSES creates spaces where connection happens naturally: through a book, through making something, through shared curiosity. Together, we put down roots, and give back to the city we now call home.
Who we are
MUSES (Málaga's Unique Social Expats Society) is a Spanish non-profit association, an asociación sin ánimo de lucro, currently registering with the Registro de Asociaciones de Andalucía. English is our common language, because our members come from everywhere.

Rooted in women, open in spirit
Most of our members are women, and many of our activities are planned with women in mind. Membership is open to anyone who shares our aims.
The founders
Gala Guiba, founder and president
Gala has lived in more than ten countries and started over in most of them. She is the author of Me First and lives in Málaga.
Alexander and Sebastian Thierfelder Guerrero, co-founders

Giving back
MUSES makes no profit for anyone. Net proceeds from paid events go to local charities in Málaga.
